Ella Acrylic Walk-in Tubs are vacuum formed from a solid, long-lasting acrylic sheet. The non-porous material in white gloss finish is easy to clean and impermeable to mold and mildew. Under the acrylic shell facade is a rust proof, stainless steel frame reinforced with multiple fiberglass mesh and gelcoat layers to ensure the durability of the tub’s structure. The frame has multiple leveling legs that can be adjusted for an easier installation and stronger support.
Ella’s Capri Walk-In Tubs main feature is the U-Shape Outward Swing Door made with industrial grade durable plastic composite material with a decorative tempered glass front screen to conceal the mechanical door lock system. This door is engineered to open outward, facilitating easier access upon entering and exiting. The outward swing also creates more interior space, which allows bathers to effortlessly sit into the molded seat, pull the door closed and lock it. Ella U-Shape outward swinging door uses a gear and shaft driven 3-latch door lock that edges out our competition, who typically use a single latch/lever system. A 3-latch door system creates a more secure and watertight door seal, providing you with a safe, leak-free bathing experience.
The Capri comes with our unique Ella Dual Drain Technology (DDT) consisting of two 2” gravity driven drains with four 2” outlets, 2 overflows and 2 openers, allowing a fast, reliable drainage. Two caps are also included to cover up to 2 of 4 ports if needed. The 2” drain outlets can be connected to the standard 1 ½” house drain with a T or Y fitting and piping selected by a professional plumber. The drain pipe configuration and selection of the pipes and fittings is up to the homeowner or licensed plumber. However, for the most efficient drainage, please consider connecting to all 4 ports and to a 2” house drain if possible.
Some may wonder how an Ella brand drain can drain faster even though it’s connected to a 1 ½” house drain using a T or Y fitting. That’s because as the water drains, air is pushed through the 2 overflows creating a vent system and reducing the amount of air bubbles preventing a free flow of the water. As a result, this produces the fastest gravity driven drain in the industry. The average drainage time evaluated by our dealers range from only 50 seconds to a couple minutes based on tub size, condition of the house drain and configurations.
The Capri also includes one (1) reversible end panel for left or right corner installation option and one (1) extension panel kit for a 60” alcove installation. These panels cover the end of the tub to give your bathtub a completed look. Additional panels can be ordered in the case your tub will be installed to the wall as free standing.
We provide a limited lifetime warranty, of free replacement parts for the lifetime of the original customer living at the address of installation. This warranty is non-transferable to other customers or locations. Shipping costs and the labor of replacement(s) are not included.
Hydro Massage System
The Hydro Massage System includes: a hydro pump with an in-line water heater, eco-friendly ozone sterilization system, hydro massage intensity dial control, and strategically positioned hydro jet system for targeted and effective massaging.
The in-line water heater helps maintain the water temperature at constant level while bathing, if the water tank can produce enough hot water. It is suggested to upgrade to the largest available 75-gallon water heater to ensure enough hot water. Please consult with a professional contractor to determine if your water tank can provide enough hot water for a walk-in bathtub. Our ozone sterilization system is the most eco-friendly, chemical free disinfectant that can eliminate a wide variety of inorganic, organic, and microbiological bacteria. The sterilization system is especially helpful in eliminating odors and hygienic maintenance. The in-line water heater and ozone sterilization automatically engage when the hydro massage push control is pressed down when turning on your jets. The hydro massage intensity dial control allows you to adjust the strength of the water stream by adding more or less air into the hydro system.
The Ella Capri has fifteen (15) strategically placed hydro jets in order to deliver optimal therapeutic relief. Nine (9) upper fixed jets work to provide relief to your back, hips and thighs, while six (6) lower adjustable jets massage your feet and calves.
The Hydro Massage System’s most popular control system is the on/off push control because the buttons were designed to rise above the deck in order to make it easier to push. A smaller, digital controller is also available for the Air+Hydrotherapy Massage Package, but may be more difficult for elderly to see and operate.
